Meet Zoe

After studying classical French technique at the International Culinary Center in NYC and participating in a farm-driven-cuisine fellowship at Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Zoe brought her education into an elite fine dining environment at New York’s Gramercy Tavern.

Longing to return to the coast of Maine, Zoe moved to Portland in 2019 to work at the Honey Paw, a pan-Asian restaurant highlighting local seafood, house made noodles, and the freshest seasonal produce. She then went on to work as a contracted Private Chef for clients and caterers throughout Southern Maine, as well as a full service personal chef for seasonal residents. ZB Eats was born out of Zoe’s desire for more creative and curative autonomy, the imperative to support local regenerative food production, and local opportunity for exceptional private dining.

Zoe is proud to bring these facets to all ZB Eats ventures. She uses her knowledge of New England food systems and nearly decade long relationships with local farmers to create menus that are uniquely of the moment. These menus are inspired by Farm-Driven New American cuisine, South Asian pantry, travels in the Mediterranean, and Zoe’s Polish Jewish heritage. Thus far, ZB Eats has been honored to cook for dinner parties, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, reunions, corporate retreats, and even a commercial video shoot.

Zoe holds a liberal arts degree in Earth and Oceanographic Science and Religion from Bowdoin College, as well as over 500 hours of training in classical yoga and meditation. You can also find Zoe supporting other local food businesses including Mangia Kitchen ME, Spoondrift Kitchen, and The Pink Waffle.
